Letter from Church Leadership 3/19/2020 concerning COVID-19

Dear Family Bible Church Family and Friends,

Governor Mills Sunday Evening 3/15/2020, has asked gatherings of over 50 not congregate to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. (Previous to this it was 250 people)  The leadership of FBC believes it is wise for us to heed her leadership and advice. We want to be good citizens, show love to the elderly and physically compromised, and help stop the spread of this virus.

Therefore, we will not be having worship service at FBC on Sunday, March 22 and 29. Please inform your friends and family that may not receive the newsletter.  We will re-evaluate the situation after Sunday, March 29 hopefully; we can get back to our regular services soon.

Obviously, missing two or potentially more Sundays will have a negative impact on our finances. If you are able to mail in your gifts please do so, as over the next few weeks that would be a blessing. We know God will provide, He always does through His people.

Of note, Mirus Academy, which leases space from us is also closing for two weeks starting 3/17/2020

Thank you for understanding, and please tune into http://www.crosspointbangor.com/ for Pastor Jerry as he preaches and see it livestream at your choice of times Sunday mornings at 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00AM to continue our Matthew series. See you via livestream the next two weeks!!!  Blessings to all…

Family Bible Church Leadership team,

Ps. During this time, we will make updates to Facebook and our church website or you can email Barbara and she will reply as time allows at barb@familybiblechurch.com for the latest news regarding services.

And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1Th 5:14-18)
